Here are a few common questions that you may need answered…
What time are your Services?
On Sunday morning, our worship service begins at 10:30am and usually ends between 12:00-12:30pm. We also offer an Adult Sunday School class at 9:30am. (We do not have Sunday school classes for children at this time.) On Wednesday nights, our service begins at 7:00pm and includes a time of teaching and fellowship as everyone sits at tables to create a small group atmosphere.
What do you offer for children and youth on Sunday morning and Wednesday evenings?
Children are a special part of our congregation and we value them as full participants in the life of our church. Next Level Kids (Kindergarten through 5th grade students) are dismissed after the worship on Sunday mornings and is available for the duration of the Wednesday evening service. In these classes, our children have the opportunity to learn about the Bible through age-appropriate lessons and games.
Teens attend the Sunday morning service with their family. On Wednesday evening, the teens are dismissed to the youth class where they have the opportunity to learn and grow their own spiritual walk with the Lord through worship, Bible study and activities.
What do you offer for babies and toddlers?
Nursery care is provided for both infants and toddlers (to age 4) from 10:30 a.m. until the conclusion of the Sunday service each week, and also on Wednesday evenings. The nurseries are located at the south end of the hallway on the east side of the building. Our infant and toddler nursery offers a spacious play area with many fun, interactive toys for the children. Care is provided by an experienced childcare worker.
Who goes to your church?
Everyday, ordinary people, just like YOU and ME! Everyone is welcome. We are not perfect, and we don’t expect you to be either.
Do I have to belong to your denomination to attend?
Not at all! In fact, many in our congregation come from a church background other than the Foursquare Church. We have many former Catholics, Baptists, Assembly of God, etc. We are all a part of the same family… it’s called the church!
What do I wear?
Come as you are. We care about you — not what you wear.
What kind of things do you do in your worship service?
We strive to create a warm and welcoming atmosphere at Life. We greet each other so everyone feels welcomed; we sing and worship God wholeheartedly, we receive an offering of tithes and special offerings, we share announcements and church news; we read the Bible and talk about it through the sermon; and we take communion monthly.
Can a visitor take communion?
Yes! We take communion each month as a tangible reminder of God’s gift to us in Jesus Christ. We believe in open communion – that means that anyone who believes in Jesus Christ is welcome to take communion, whether they are a church member or not.
How much does it cost to go there?
Nothing. We do have an offering every week, but it’s not for people who are checking out faith or the church. Life Church is supported financially by the people who have chosen to make it their church home. You won’t find us trying to squeeze cash out of you every time you walk through the door. Giving should never flow out of compulsion or guilt, but rather out of desire to love God and be a part of what He’s doing in and through the church.
